Hi, I'm Sierra B. Talbert!

​

 In May of 2024, I graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations.

 

While being enrolled at Gardner-Webb University, I held presidential roles in the Student Government Association (freshman year) and in the Delta Alpha Pi Honors Society (sophomore/junior year to present). I also served as the Social Media Chair for the Black Student Association, assisted the Department of Diversity and Inclusion with event planning, and I was the co-editor of the school’s digital news outlet, GWU Today.

 

My Bachelor's in Communications provided me the opportunity to have knowledge in every aspect of communications and media. Some of which included, photography, graphic design, and video/audio production.  Through the well-rounded knowledge provided, I found a true passion in marketing and public relations.

I found great excitement in my on-campus involvement, but I was still involved in my homeschool community back home. After my freshman year, I came across an opportunity where I was appointed the president, social media & communications director, and acting athletic director positions of a predominately homeschool athletics association that I helped start in Charlotte, NC.

I am currently enrolled online at University of North Carolina Wilmington to receive a Master's of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communication.
